Just sent my letter in. It was originally intended for the Disney Channel, but this way is much better.

But don't expect me to contribute 12 more. I can only write so fast.

I've been working on a very long one to Robert Iger for about a month now, and it is almost finished. I'll probably be sending it in on one of the 12 days along with one addressed to Rich Ross if I'm lucky enough to finish it on time.

I do the exact same thing RufusPufus, and if I didn't, it would take me even longer just to finish one letter.

No PMs. e-Mail only. Otherwise it gets more confusing to keep track of them all...

Try and at least make ocasional calls. And don't forget faxes (Fax Instructions: http://savedisneyshows.org/fax/).

no, greg you misunderstood me, what i'm saying is, thats all that gets done on a SKP day.

PEople mass e-mail, and about a handful snail mail, and a handful out of the snail mailers acctually call, and probably 2 people use a fax.

I'm personally of the opinion that a signed-sealed-and-delivered letter is better than a fax. I'm keeping my letters short and to-the-point. Recall that higher-ranking executives generally have their mail screened by a secretary, owing to their busy schedules. Long letters are less likely to make the cut. Of course, the more obscure the executive, better the chances are of them seeing something personally.

Really, if all roughly 600 people would write one normal letter, that would get some attention. As it is, I'd say we wouldn't have a chance if it were not for the pending CEO shift. But that's beyond the Save KP Day itself.

Hmmm... I suppose I could fax a copy of the letters, and send them snail-mail as well. Any ideas on that?

Thank you for that clarification. What would I be sending to Trollis, now? I feel like I've missed something...

Just noticed all my letters so far are single paragraph. Well, I say what I want in that... Guess it'll do.

PS: Incidentally, I did get the reference.

Not counting today, it's only 8 days.

Hmmm... back to my earlier question, though, in cases where both fax and snail mail are available, would it be advantageous to send the same letter in both manners?

e-mail 20 of them, snail mail 2 of them and fax as many of them as your printer can bare (on mine i can say "fax 20 copies" and 20 of them will shoot out of disney's fax machine.)

See, here's the problem with that. If you send multiples of the same fax, then it will be viewed as flooding, which is considered discourteous, especially if they are all sent on the same day. Same with emailing the same thing more than once a day or so. Letters are a bit different, but if you send multiple copies of the same letter, common courtesy would be to note this and give some reason such as "to ensure delivery." So, I guess I'll fax what I can. That'll mean more to write, but oh well. Each letter is essentially 90% the same material, with the other 10% varying based upon the position of the intended recipient.

I might note, for the purposes of this campaign, it is probably not wise to attack the 65 episode policy directly, at least in letters to Mr. Eisner. People tend to be defensive even when there is no need. Might also want to be careful in that regard with letters to Mr. Iger.

Basically, if you're gonna send several copies of the same fax, space them out. One a day, at least during the campaign period, might not be amiss, but fax-spamming will get all of them thrown away. Actually, given the typical setup at corporation, one really only needs to wait 6-8 hours, until someone different is watching the incoming faxes. ;)
