I'm in the Eastern Time Zone, which is New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, Richmond, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Miami.

So, it begins 12am Eastern Daylight Time.

4 letters away... Should have sent some earlier, since a one day pad isn't enough to account for the delivery time cross-continent. I'd say cross-country, but that sounds like a skiing thing.

No, not exactly... They do change a little bit.. Like if good ratings are mentioned, they reply with "Thank you for your kind words" and they read enough to know it's about KP... So it's not exactly an auto-reply..

i am betting that they hardly glance at them. they could get a computer to check for key words and send a reply depending on the words

Not to that extent... Or unlikely to that extent anyway... Besides the fact that it's signed by a different person each time... or each day or something...

they could have a bunch of letters with different sigs and send a random one out each time

I find that unlikely... Random is not very likely in that several people one day get the same signature on that day before it changes and then they all get the same signature that day...

Plus, the fact that the message is different based on the actual email sent... You can just say KP is your favorite show or something... and to please renew it, and it'll come back as "We will put it through to the appropriate department for review." or whatever..

You can say I congratulate Disney on the emmy nominations and it'll come back as "Thank you for kind words of support"

I haven't tried this, but it's difficult for a computer program to pick out the difference "I congratulate Disney" and "I will congratulate you when Disney renews my favorite show."

And then there's the fact that when there's a lot of traffic, it takes DCMS a day or two to reply... something tells me that's not an auto-reply...

The fact that I got a reply something like 10 minutes after I sent the e-mail makes me think the one I got about forwarding it to the appropriate department is either an auto-reply or a form reply. I might have received it sooner, I just notice it in my inbox ten minutes later.

Doesn't mean some of these aren't. I just find it hard to believe someone read mine and replied that quickly.

Note that I used the form e-mail on the program, adding a salutation and name.


*Edit* *Update!* I got a reply from disneyinfo@disneyhelp.com, and the delay makes it pretty certain it isn't an auto-reply. It's still a form reply, but hey.

The first two addresses almost always give a form reply. And I've noticed that sometimes they come back real fast and sometimes it takes a couple days. Just beacuse we don't know if humans actually see them doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

My own theory is the reply is automated, but that people sort and count them by subject line. I can't prove it, but that's my guess.

You are 100% accurate Greg. If we don't try, KP is doomed! She'll be rerunned into the ground. Then, locked away in a vault.

Quantity is something Disney looks at...we want Disney to know we love this show!
