Hannah made the younger brother an older brother and removed the mom. Wizards has an older and younger brother. Phil switched the main character from female to male and switched male friends at the season break (Seth to Owen, kinda). Sonny is really the first show in a while to break that dynamic and do away with the parent/family roles. Suite Life is similar in that regard, but that show arguably had the most adult characters of any DC show (Carry, Moseby, Estaban, Arwin...).
