I need some opinion....

I'm transferring to US for my remaining 2 years of studies next year. Here's the deal, I have 4 choices in Unis and I'm applying for all.

Wisconsin- Madison
Michigan- Ann Arbor
Drake U Iowa
Iowa State

but another choice was offered to me today

Waterloo U, Canada....

For studying Actuarial Science.

What is your opinion about these unis if you have been there?

Wisconsin and Drake are probably the best options

Any reason you've got it narrowed down to those four/five?

I've never heard of any of them.

I'm thinking to be an actuarial science major....That's why I narrowed it down.....

Striking away Iowa state(no more Ac science)

Best options
Drake U
U of Waterloo

Alternative
Wisconsin Madison
Michigan Ann Arbor...

Any thoughts?

Greg it's because most of those colleges are in the midwest or in the east. I've visited Madison a couple of times, supposed to be a great science school. I'm familiar with ann arbor because its in michigan and i have a friend who goes to Drake. The only one im not familiar with is waterloo.

I've um... heard of Ann Arbor.

Don't really know enough about any of those to make an informed decision... the schools I applied to were all in the North and South East.

TK, I'm aware of were the schools are. /i said I hadn't heard of them so
mianghuei would know I couldn't give any advice, and not that I didn't want to.

And I just found it kinda weird that the Malaysian picked a handful of schools in the midwest.

Well, Iowa is the choice for Ac Science students and most of us want to major in Ac Science.

Don't know how many will change majors half way though....

I don't see why you'd want to skip a grade anyway. Seems like a lot of hassle.

Well Xan terms in Malaysia and terms from here may differ. As one here wouldn't think a 70% genius at something is that great.

If you go to Ann Arbor or Madison...Football is the biggest event on campus. I had friends that went to both schools.

I was given the option to skip 1/6 years of primary school but I did not do it. I got an IQ of 120 if I'm not mistaken.

I don't even know my IQ, but it doesn't seem terribly relevant.

And yeah, I figured there were differing expressions. That's what I was trying to get at with my questions.

Well, I hope you get me and my language. I speak like 3 different languages and 2 dialects. 5 Language. We often mix up our language and stuff. At least I can talk in English smoothly.
