The *hardest* part is done. We have our new website. The KP section is up and so is the forum. We've already done far more than thought we'd do. So everyone take a moment and congradulate yourselves. Now let's get back to work...

Hmmm... Should I really say it again? nah. Btw, I made a new profile since I don't like the one that says "Admin" oh well. Anyway, we do need to get to work on the main web site now, but here's a link if anyone wants to read Kim's Diary: http://kp.savedisneyshows.org/diary.html

Good question. I'm not sure. We do need to work on it though. If it's not too big, we could put it up there at the very top in place of the phpbb logo.

Hey thanks guys.

After the Gargoyles Fiasco, I REALLY got tired of seeing my favorite shows go Caput, so this how Pheon came to be!

Gargoyles Fiasco? I'm kinda a newbie to every show except "Kim Possible" and "Lilo & Stitch"... can you explain (maybe here... maybe in "Other Shows")?

I think perhaps Pheon is referring to the cancellation and then the production of the Goliath Chronicles (quickly followed by another cancellation). Way to get fans' hopes up,and then crush 'em, Disney! @_@

I wasn't sure if it was that or something I hadn't heard of.

Oh yes... based on the lamentations I hear from a family member - I should've known.

By the way... a telling warning to fans of "Kim Possible" (and hopefully "Lilo & Stitch"). Don't be fooled by Disney's rumors or actual revitilization of a show.

They seem to be intelligent enough to wait until your least prepared to kill something (again).

They've got an annoying habit of offering you hope and then sabatoging it just when you've relaxed your guard. Let this be a lesson to us! The Gargoyles' fans' biggest problem, I think, is that they thought they were safe in their victory and became complacent. Disney took this as a weakness and ran the show into the ground so badly that even the fans could say little positive about what had been done to it. Don't expect that they won't try something similar with KP or L&S if given the chance! That's one of the reasons that we can't focus on just the shows we like. Do that and we're still allowing them an opening. We need to force a revamp of the system - as difficult as that sounds, it's the ONLY way we'll ever be truly safe and truly victorious.

Agreed. A total revamp is neccessary on all levels. From CEO, Chairman of the Board, etc to the underlings in bewteen the production teams and the head haunchos.

There was a similar topic of discussion on MKP that I found rather disturbing, but at the time I couldn't find a way to stress the fact that it's not just about one show - not if we want to retain the quality of the show(s) we love. I'm afraid I came across as more concerned about other shows I liked. ..

I do love KP AND other shows, don't get me wrong. But I just know that if we keep our focus on KP and ONLY KP, Disney will screw us over somehow. *That's* why I think we should not be stuck in a narrow mindset. We're following in the tracks of the Gargoyles fans, and see how well things worked out for them. We need to learn from history - not repeat it. Eisner and his cronies have to go!

If we're going to take on this battle - we should do it right and not settle for a half measure. This is WAR, people!

I believe I know the topic you're referring to. MKP by itself is too specialized (hence SDS) to do anything with "other shows." The way MKP is organized and operated, "other shows" simply do not exist as such (other than the occasional morale booster with news of another show being resurrected - or if it pertains to Kim specifically in some way).

Yes MKP is too specialized for this big of an operation. SDS is not.

I know what you mean. It just seems like a waste of opportunities and resources because many of the people on MKP are not members of SDS. My little L&S group - S.O.S. - is mostly series specific, but it's also quite small and most of the people are already part of SDS or MKP (usually both). Still, we're trying to get the word out.

(Say, does anyone here know anything about webpage design? My L&S page needs an overhaul... badly)

Greg and I are both fairly experienced. And if you wish to use frames, well I refer you to another little project I'm working on (strictly raw HTML coding, mind you): http://mkpowner7.servehttp.com/parents_sds

If/when it's done, it'll become part of the site and will be directed at parents/teachers specifically. The main part does need changed slightly, however (as that page would be for more than KP)...

I've got the basics of a framed page down, but the content especially is proving to be a challenge. Everything on the page - with the exception of the contact information for the Disney staff - has been compiled by me. This includes episode and experiment lists, and the eventual galleries of art, fiction and fanart.

Plus I'm having to design my own images for the page and computer coloring is not my forte. I have plenty of lineart, but none of it colored yet. *sigh* I should probably take this to a new thread though - in L&S, I'm guessing.
